Waiting...
When you have sent in all the paperwork you can up to this point, and you are waiting to hear that the next step is ready to start...Praying...waiting... We've been in that place the last few weeks...trying to be patient (which is not easy! some days a bit easier than others).

We received word that our Home Study was officially all written and ready to move ahead on Monday, May 1st! YAY! Gotta celebrate each step!
One step closer to our Little Love!
We had already worked on the following step - the I800A application to our government and collected all documents needed for that. So, on Monday night, that application, documents, and official home study report was overnighted to our government.
And now we wait again.... ha! We are waiting on their approval.
In a couple of weeks, we should hear that they have received our application. They will send us a biometric fingerprinting appointment and then we wait about two more weeks for our approval to arrive.
We are currently working on our dossier. Once we receive the U.S. approval, that, along with all the other documents, and our home study report will be sent to China to seek their approval.
We keep thinking of the ol' Dory quote from Finding Nemo..."just keep swimming, just keep swimming"!

This process can be an emotional rollercoaster.
We know it is very real for us, being the ones in process. But, our little one is out there waiting...so every moment of waiting feels so hard. Personally...each day has been so tough. My heart aches for our little one.
Even though we do not know who our little one is yet, they are real, they are there, they are waiting.
We are expecting a child...it may not be a physical pregnancy, but we are expecting.
Our baby is here...growing in our hearts until they are one day in our arms.
We are praying daily for our little one. We praise the Lord for who they are...fearfully and wonderfully made.
Our daily conversations include brother or sister...
It has been so sweet to hear Zeke including brother or sister in our chats and in our prayers. Without us guiding it, he prays so sweetly for brother or sister. He is a thoughtful little guy. He has thought through so many details of including "baby" in our lives already :)
His prayers for baby usually are:
"help them feel loved, keep them safe, help them know us"
What a sweet prayer. 💙

Along with the adoption process, we are working on a lot of fundraising.
