We woke to another day of sunshine and blue skies here in Philadelphia!
Today, Isla had two appointments at CHOP.

keeping busy with little toys in the waiting room! :) |
Isla had a consult with anesthesia in preparation for tomorrow's CT and MRI.We also met with Dr. Nance. He is a general thoracic surgeon.
He was wonderful to us. He was very informative and took the time to listen to our questions and answer each of them for us. He spoke very highly of Dr. Campbell.
Each appointment we go to this week, leads us to our consult with Dr. Campbell on Friday morning.
Each doctor has been so kind to Isla and we can see that they value their patients.
That, in and of itself, has been so encouraging to us.
So far, we are very impressed by this team of doctors that have reviewed Isla's records and will continue to collaborate about her needs. While we have much to learn about our sweet girl and much to discuss and pray about...we feel a lot of peace in being at CHOP for her.
We clearly see God's hand in our being here and that fills our hearts.
This is such an emotional journey...we will continue to advocate and fight for Isla!
We are exhausted, but feel very thankful.
Isla woke up very smiley and even napped without crying today! We were able to get some rest in between appointments!

sweet girl slept!!!! |
Bedtime was still a bit rough, but so thankful Isla's little heart is finding some peace here. Zeke continues to be so patient with all the time at CHOP and he is a little ray of sunshine each day. The hotel staff are falling in love with him.
We finally got to go swimming today after getting back from Isla's appointments!
Zeke jumped right in...being his "little fishy" self!
Isla tried out the pool, but really appreciated space from the water and being a spectator to her "little fishy" brother :)
Another day is done...we hope for more sleep and a smooth day of imaging for Isla tomorrow morning!
Thank you for praying and all the encouragement and support!
We continue to pray for miracles for our sweet girl and for wisdom ahead.
Praying for miracles, continued kind help, hope that lies deep in your hearts, laughter to relax nerves, and God's peace to give you rest. Thank you for the privilege to pray..thank you for sharing your journey. Our family sends their love and hugs to you all.
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing your sweet boy is! Choosing joy, patience and nurturing in this season of a LOT of change for him is such a testament to God's provision and protection of the hearts of little ones and the way he guards the hearts of us Momma's from too much. Right in line with your isiaiah verse! Praying for you all!
