So much has happened the last few days!
Isla has been progressing in recovery! She is getting stronger each day and was impressing all her doctors/nurses! We were so excited when they told us we would be able to go "home" yesterday!
As much as Isla was getting stronger...we knew she would be much happier to get to her brother and get home ❤ We are so thankful to be on the journey to getting to our actual home...but even getting to the hotel was refreshing! We will be flying home to WA tomorrow!
here is our photo/video story of day 7 & 8 of Isla's recovery:

We are so very proud of Isla...she is a little champion!
God has done amazing things...we are in awe...He is so faithful!
J and I have been slowly processing so much - and much of it is how God has taken care of us, led us, provided in many ways, and comforted us...We know this is just the beginning of Isla's VEPTR journey...and we know that God has, is, and will continue to carry her and our family through it. He has been orchestrating it all even before she was born.
Psalm 119:90 Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures.
Today we are just trying to relax and get packed up for tomorrow.
Travel day tomorrow will be a big day. The flight is 6 hours...please pray that Isla will not be in pain and be able to relax in the small space in Molly's lap.
We know Isla's pain will still go up and down these next weeks, but we are so excited for her to be home healing. Please continue to pray for no infection to set in!
THANK YOU for all your thoughts and prayers and for the encouraging messages...they have meant so very much to us!

What size shirt does Isla where?
ReplyDeleteEach day you will see 100 percent improvement. That's the way it goes when you turn the corner, and I will continue to pray. The exhaustion of the travel may change things a bit but she will recover from that in about 24 hopes. I am so looking forward to seeing her someday. And hug my little Zeke for me. They are two special kids and you are doing a fabulous job as parents and spiritual leaders for them. I also pray for you. Let me know about size, wondering if something I made in a class would fit her.
