grace led in life: 8 years

This week marked 8 years from when Justin and I left Minnesota and made our way to Washington and began a new chapter in life.
We had been praying for a good job for Justin and God led us here.
We prayed that God would lead us, no matter where that would be.
We did not want to strive to stay in MN just because there were comforts there (familiarity, family, friends...) We asked with open hearts and minds for God to take us where He needed us...for his plan for our lives...for His glory.

It feels like yesterday...

yet so very much has happened in 8 years. SO. MUCH.

Zeke is at an age now, where he is asking so many questions. He is thinking through details.

He has asked about us moving here to Washington, curious about those details.

It has been so fun to be able to share with him, all that God has done, in bringing us here, all God has done these past 8 years, and how we continue to seek Him for the future.
God is so very faithful. We see so many huge blessings that came from being here and also see ways God grew us and used us for his glory. We also know that there is so much more that God has been doing that we are not even aware of...

We see God at work...

We have felt pain through difficult seasons and have grown so much in our faith. We have felt great blessing - being so humbled at God's goodness.
We praise the Lord for his great love in caring for us and providing through every moment.
This is also the 8th anniversary of Justin starting his journey at Boeing Co.
I need to take a minute to talk about this guy...

Our decision to leave Minnesota was not an easy one. All of our family lives there and we have a lot of history there. But, Justin did not strive for the goal of comfort. He was striving to not live by fear, but by seeking the Lord, loving his family well, and working so hard in a place God brought him to. He loves his job. He cares about the people he works with. He works with integrity. We are so thankful for him and how diligently he works to provide for our family! We praise God for this job for Justin!

Happy 8 years at Boeing, Justin! We are so proud of you and love you so much!
