Pre-op day for Isla's sixth VEPTR surgery

Today was pre-op appointments day.
COVID-19 test to start...poor baby girl :(
Then over to CHOP for x-rays and appointments.
Isla was very excited to go back to the hotel after a full morning.
We had a tele-health visit with her surgeon around lunchtime (he was seeing patients in another city today) and we prepped for tomorrow.
Isla will be checking in for surgery at 7:45am, tomorrow.
Isla was so aware of everything happening today. She has been through this 6 times now and taken these trips, to see doctors in Philadelphia, 7 times now. She knows what is going on.
As her speech is progressing, she is communicating how she feels. A lot of "no, thank you" and "let's go home now".
There have been many tears today for our sweet girl. So, we tried to do a lot of play together... matching game and twirling in her tutu, were Isla's highlights of the day. Isla told each of us "I love you SO much" today - that was definitely each of our highlights :)

Thank you for praying for Isla and our family...we appreciate it so very much.

Morning of appointments...
to brighten the morning, we did some searching outside for bugs and flowers :)

Proud of this sweetie!
Joy in the day...matching game!

So fun getting to catch up with this guy! Love him so much!

Zeke keeping busy with Wild Kratts and Lego fun!

Sweet girl had tears tonight, but was able to fall asleep. Love her so much.
