Today, we are two weeks away from Isla's 8th VEPTR surgery.
For those that missed our latest "life update" you can read that here:
Summer 2021 update
We have been working on getting our ducks in a row. But, it sometimes feels more like a duck circus. HA! What does a duck circus look like, you ask? Well...we are not entirely sure, but seems like the correct analogy! Joking aside, we are working to get everything in order and ready for this next surgery for Isla.
We'd love prayers as we know these two weeks will fly by...
- please pray for all details to fall into place
- travel to go smoothly
- Isla and our family to stay healthy
- Isla's medical team
- this VEPTR expansion surgery to go well and be successful
- Isla to not develop an ileus and for her vocal cord to not be reinjured again
- Isla's heart and mind...this is so very hard on her.
- Molly's health (this week has been more difficult health wise, which is challenging)
On August 27th, please join us in supporting Isla by wearing your Hope for Isla shirts.
You can share a pic for Isla to see by posting on social media (please tag us!) or sending your photo (text or email) to us. This meant so much to Isla last surgery and it is a visual joy for her to see everyone that is praying for her and cheering her on.
