We haven't been able to give any lengthy updates yet and am not able to give a lengthy update now,
but we are sharing that Isla has dealt with an Ileus and few other recovery issues after surgery and she has not really had any improvement. There is sometimes a little step forward, but soon after two steps back.
This has caused her to be in a lot of pain, to have to go through countless procedures every day to try to help, and our little warrior is feeling so defeated (we feel heartbroken for her) She is still inpatient in the hospital (she graduated from PICU to the surgical hospital floor on Tuesday at 12am). If everything turns around, she may be discharged soon, but she will have to stay until that turn-around happens. Tomorrow, March 5th, will be one week out from her VEPTR revision surgery.
