Oh my...I've struggled a lot this week with being patient.
We.are.so.close to being done with our home study (We feel like we have said that a lot ;)
Even with being close, I have to admit, this week I have felt so ready to be done and moving ahead.
Bless Justin...he is so patient with his gal, even when she is struggling to be patient :)
All I can keep thinking about is that this is just the beginning in waiting and the need for patience in the adoption process. We have witnessed how tough the wait is the longer you are in the adoption process, but can only imagine what that really feels like. I realized that I need to keep my focus on the hope that God has provided through this...our little love. I decided to take a break from all of the paperwork and checklists to get some perspective and joy...so I watched some adoption "gotcha day videos". I am amazed at these little ones. Amazed at what they go through, their hurts, joys, the fear they have with all the change, the excitement they experience in seeing a world outside of what they know. It really puts everything into perspective on patience...and sure gives a lot of hope! Trust me...I am not complaining about having to do paperwork process...I would do whatever it takes! I just would love to jump to the place of getting to see our little one, meet our little one, and know our little one. We are so excited for that day!
I'm sure most of you have seen me post a few plum blossom pics recently. No...those pics were not to make MN folk jealous... I promise ;)
We learned that the plum blossom is the national flower of China...and we have plum blossom trees right outside our front door!
Here is a link for those that would like to learn more about them :)
It has been such a blessing to see everyday! So, it is not just pictures of spring, but something that feels like a sweet reminder of our little love!
