Family and Friends,
We want to say a very deep, heartfelt THANK YOU for all the love shown through the Hope for Isla shirt campaign...
We put together a video and we only had photos of a portion of those that purchased shirts, but we are brought to tears by all these sweet faces of people that are supporting our sweet warrior and our family through Isla's medical journey. It really means so very much...
Isla is facing a very challenging and heartbreaking journey. We are so grateful for the miracles that the Lord has done in Isla's life and your support and encouragement through this feels like a medicine for our hearts, too. If you have walked through very difficult circumstances, you know the importance of gentle and supportive love through it. We feel that from you. THANK YOU. We just cannot say it enough. We praise God for you!
Many of you have asked if we have a meal train available...
Thank you for patience as we figured that out and thank you to sweet friends for setting up a meal train and meal support for our family.
PLEASE feel NO PRESSURE to participate, we are just trying to be honest of our needs and follow through for those that have asked. thank you for your kindness, generosity, and love! Due to Covid and our family's unique allergy needs - we decided it best to just do delivery gift cards and grocery gift cards...if you have any questions, feel free to let me know.
Giving a little update:
Isla is healing so well so far...we pray this continues this way! She has been so thankful to be home...and is determined to keep moving each day!
She has another Covid test today for a doctor appointment this week. She has multiple doctor appointments and therapy appointments coming up. Please pray for her. Medical needs trauma is very real and she has struggling from that.
Justin had his oral surgery on Friday to remove an impacted wisdom tooth and a cyst that was under it. (he has had other wisdom teeth removed years ago) He is doing ok...little worse today, but hanging in there! We hope to have the pathology report back from the cyst in a couple weeks and we pray all is well!
Zeke has a lot of appointments coming up with his team in prep for his Bilateral cleft, bone grafting surgery for his jawline - the surgery date has not been set yet. He has been so brave and such a sweetie through this hard time, but it takes it's toll and is hard on him, too. Please pray as we set a surgery date and for Zeke as he processes going through another surgery.
I'm hanging in there...I'm so very grateful for how much we have walked through and I am still standing! I surely am facing a lot of fatigue and pain, too. I have another infusion in a couple of weeks and last time my body did not handle it very well. Please pray I can be strong going into the infusion and my body accepts it well.
We have appointments every day for these next few weeks coming up...please pray for endurance on top of work, school, etc.
One step at a time and we strive for JOY and HOPE each day, because we have that through Jesus!!!
We are never without HOPE!
THANK YOU for praying for us!
