Isla's 7th VEPTR surgery - February 2021 - rest day prior to surgery day

Today was a bright and sunny day...Isla woke up with smiles.
We took time to rest with Isla, do some of her favorite things, eat some of her favorite foods.
There was donuts, dancing, puzzles, winnie the pooh, reading books, playing "I spy" looking out at the city from our window far above.
Soaking up the little things with our sweet girl.

We feel nervous...hard not to.
This is very heavy...
It can be so difficult to put into words what it is like to watch your child live with medical needs, but it is just really hard.
We want to respect her privacy...so we just share bits of the journey.
We try to fight for joy in each day...
We are praying...trusting the Lord.

We are packing things up...
Isla's check in time at the hospital is 5:45am
Her surgery is the only one scheduled for her surgeon tomorrow.
Again, this surgery is a complex one - please pray for Isla to be safe, for a successful surgery, and for her surgeon.
We will try to update as we can.
THANK YOU FOR PRAYING!

**Please wear your "HOPE for ISLA" shirts and share a pic with us if you are willing! Thanks!

  1. Glaze family here. We are all praying for Isla and your family. Just FYI this past Sunday a prayer before the service for Isla was said at Intermountain Baptist church in California and broadcast on KIBC 90.5 fm. We're all rooting for you guys! Remember Phillipians 4:13!
