grace led in life: Paperwork galore & celebrating an anniversary!

Today we celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary! It's amazing to think about the past 6 years! So fun to think back on the memories of the years but also so fun to dream in anticipation of what is to come through adoption! We are so excited for what is ahead for our family!

This post will fill you in a bit on what we have been up to in our home study so far.

This past month has been filled with paperwork, paperwork, and more paperwork!

Have to admit...sometimes it felt like it wouldn't end! But, it is so amazing to think about the blessing in approximately a little over a year...our little one! The beginning of the home study process is all paperwork requirements. Many of you have asked what this "paperwork" part of the process included....here is a bit of a glance:

We had to each write an autobiography about our life from birth to now, and also details about our parents and family. (There were about 100 essay questions each)
We had required readings to read. (We are about 100 pages away from this being complete!)
We had many forms to fill out with information about...well everything!
We had to do online training.

Now...the next step will be a home visit from our social worker!

We hope this will be scheduled soon...and we will keep you all up to date!
