We are excited to start out this blog with great news!
We received our approval from U.S.C.I.S this week!!!!!
What a big step! We are so thankful! It took one month instead of the possibility of 3! Praise the Lord!

WOOOOO HOOOOOO! |
The next phase is our Dossier (approx. 13 documents that will be certified and sent off to China for their approval) Our Dossier is all ready, so yesterday it was sent off to the state of Alabama for certification (Our agency is based in Alabama), this should take about 1 week. Next it will be sent to Texas to the Chinese Consulate to be certified, which will take about another week. Then it makes it's way back to our agency...and they send it off to China! SO EXCITING!
Currently they say that it can take about 3-4 weeks for approval once China receives our dossier...so this all may happen fairly quickly!
What is the next step after approval from China!? We will be given our LID (log in date) which is the start of the matching process! We are extremely excited as we are getting closer to knowing who our little one is! The matching process can take some time, so we do not know exactly when this will happen, but we will be in the journey of it...so we know it's comin'!
This journey so far has been a lot of paperwork, trainings, approvals, etc... which has had it's moments of feeling long. It is so surreal to be thinking we are so close (we hope!) to knowing the precious child God has planned for our family.
We have been praying about our little one and the journey they are facing as they wait for us.
We ask that you please be praying for our little one and for us as well...that God will clearly lead us to the child that is ours. We know there is a plan. One that will change us, grow us, challenge us, and bless us beyond what we can comprehend. We are so in love with our little one already. It is tough to think about them being so far away...just want to get to them...just want to hold them...just want them to know we are their family.
We cannot wait to see the {beautiful} plan God has for our little one and us.
It is a journey...we are thankful for it!
